Justification:

The required cut-off time of 72 hrs for 342 km -distance set by the organizer was not met by all finishers instead the race director(RD) after km -151 decided to bring back the original plan of 80-hours cut-off time for the SINGLE STAGE challenge, for  various reasons that even the top 3 leading runners where thinking that they can’t do it due to pressures among them and almost if not at all suffering from severe exhaustion . So in order to set forth the individual race hours on record and  to become the first batch of this historic and longest ultra road race in the country in a Single-Stage challenge, the race director after the top two runners finished within the original cut-off time,  decided to allow the remaining runners to crossed the finish line up to 100hrs only , just to document to use as basis for future races with the same distance  and record the fastest, moderate and slowest runners for this  distance ,fortunately only 12 runners made it to Bantayog Shrine in Daet. Unfortunately 9 runners declared DNF (did-not-finish) in various distances (Km -97,km 102-105, 118,130,145) due to severe foot ache and exhaustion, However, 1 runner declared as DQ(disqualified) by the RD @ Finish Line due to allegations of cheating which was accepted with all humility  by the concern runner  and proved that the allegations has cloud of doubt of his statement ,being his first offense the race director/organizer immediately penalized the concern participant to ban in joining races by the organizer for 3-months, in addition he is not allowed to recieve any entitlements/awards in any ultra running event Grand Slam – series for 2015.

HOW The Participants SURVIVED the CHALLENGE in more than three days on the road to Bicol?
